Member Spotlight 🌟 Armin Sarajlija

💛 Armin is a 2027 PharmD candidate at the University of Iowa College of Pharmacy. Throughout pharmacy school, he has been heavily involved in the National Community Pharmacists Association, serving as President of the University of Iowa chapter and NCPA’s national Student Leadership Council.

💊 Armin is a pharmacy intern at the University of Iowa Health Care Iowa River Landing Pharmacy in Coralville and Greenwood Pharmacy in Waterloo. He started working at Greenwood Pharmacy (Greenwood Drug) in high school and “fell in love with the patient interaction...and getting them their medications.” The rest is history!

📢 When asked about the benefits of IPA membership, Armin reflected on IPA’s advocacy resources and the importance of Pharmacy Day on the Hill in educating legislators on pharmacy issues.

🏕️ In his free time, Armin enjoys being out in nature, whether camping, fishing, or hunting.

Thank you to Brad Magg and the pharmacy team at Spring City Pharmacy, LLC for hosting the Iowa Pharmacy Association and Iowa State Auditor Rob Sand this week. Brad and IPA staff shared information with the media on the impact of PBMs on community pharmacies, followed by some Q&A with Rob.

IPA continues to monitor implementation of SF 383 (signed into law in 2025), federal PBM reforms, and ongoing PBM litigation.
