I have been terrible at being active on my business account. Today I was working with a client and we were reminiscing about our work together and although I do not have an original photo of when I first started working on this scar on her leg, it is amazing to reflect on the oldest picture I have of it (L) and today (R). This scar has been a constant reminder to her of the battle that almost took her life years ago. While some people wear scars as a battle wound, others try to hide the painful reminders that they can’t stand to look at. She had no idea that this scar from skin grafting didn’t have to be “ugly” or so noticeable. She had no idea the pain that limited her mobility and stability from this fascially adhered scar tissue could be mobilized, regain feeling, and return to normal colors. Sometimes allowing people to see your most painful memories can lead to help in healing and overcoming them. So this is your reminder that you have the power to take control of the narrative over your life and you get to control your healing journey. I am thankful to be a tool some people choose to utilize along the way.
