After a kitty emergency changed our traditional 4th of July plans in Clear Lake, we needed to stay close to home to monitor health, so we found a way to make the most of an unexpected day.

🚗 Watched the Urbandale parade for a bit (parades aren't my thing, but it was nice)

🍔 The neighbor lovingly had me join her family for a delicious lunch

🎪 Checked out the Urbandale Carnival for a bit

🍋 Got my traditional lemonade while Daisy avoided the camera for a picture with her "lemonade " water

🐈‍⬛️Emmy hanging on my lap in full rest and recovery mode.
