I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), specializing in working with adolescents and adults. I utilize a number of strengths-based approaches to partner with individuals and couples as they navigate through difficult past experiences and present situations in an effort to create a future that is fulfilling and meaningful. nner strength to create their own beautiful life story and am beyond honored to be a part of this process. I am continuously amazed by the power of human resiliency and strive to complement this internal power by providing genuine support and insight in my work with clients. I graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Child and Family Services from Iowa State University (2002) and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Iowa (2005). Prior to entering private practice, I served as Program Director at the Young Women’s Resource Center, as a School Social Worker with Des Moines Public Schools and as an Adoption Social Worker at Bethany Christian Services. I am a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and an active volunteer in the community.
