Happy Memorial Day ❤️🤍💙 As we honor and remember those who served, it also marks the unofficial kickoff to summer.

More sun. More movement. More adventure. More reasons to take care of your body. ☀️

Summer has a way of exposing all the tight shoulders, achy backs, old injuries, and “I’ll deal with it later” habits. Whether you’re traveling, training, chasing kids, spending more time outside, or simply trying to feel your best, don’t wait until pain forces you to slow down.

Not every session length serves the same purpose.

60 minutes can be great for one main problem area.
90 minutes (my favorite 👀) gives more time for deeper work and treating the source—not just where it hurts.
120 minutes allows for more complete treatment when your body has a lot going on.

Deep work. Real change.

Another Market to Market relay in the books 🏃🏼‍♀️💚
As a runner myself, events like this are a reminder of how much repetitive stress, fatigue, and tightness can build up in the body over time. Proud of improving my pace from last year and grateful for such a fun team experience.

Now onto recovery mode 😅

✨ May the 4th be with you

Just over a year ago, I took the leap and opened Voss Massage Therapy.

What started as an idea has turned into something I’m incredibly proud of. Being able to help people get out of pain, move better, and feel like themselves again is exactly why I do what I do.

If you’ve been here from the beginning or just recently found me, I truly appreciate you trusting me with your care.

No shortcuts, no quick fixes. Just consistent, focused work (with a little help from the Force).

To celebrate 1 year, I wanted to give something back.

Prenatal massage can be so much more than relaxation.
Supporting the body through changing posture, chronic tension, and discomfort while keeping comfort and safety in mind is something I care deeply about.

This review meant a lot to me. Thank you for trusting me 🤍

Focused bodywork, adapted for pregnancy 🤰

Pregnancy massage doesn’t have to be limited to light relaxation work.

For prenatal sessions, I often shift from my usual 90/10 approach toward more of an 80/20 blend — combining focused work with more soothing flow and nervous system down-regulation.

That can look like:
• lighter sustained pressure (around 5–6/10)
• shorter pressure holds than traditional deep tissue
• slower pacing and intentional flow
• still addressing common tension in the neck, shoulders, hips and low back — just with an adapted approach

Same intention. Adapted approach. Meaningful relief.

Excited to put my newest investment to use today and in future prenatal sessions. Pregnancy can place a lot of demand on the body, from low back and hip discomfort to neck and shoulder tension, headaches, and postural strain. Thoughtful prenatal bodywork can help support comfort, mobility, relaxation, and overall relief through those changes. This bolster adds another layer of support while allowing me to better tailor sessions to what each body needs. 🤰🏼✨

That constant tension through the neck, shoulders, and upper back can show up in more ways than people expect.

Things like reduced range of motion, that dull, achy feeling, frequent headaches, and even discomfort or tingling that travels into the shoulders or arms.

In this session, I worked through the upper to mid back, then into the neck and shoulders to help reduce that built-up tension.

You can see the difference through the traps closest to the neck starting to soften, the neck looking a little less compressed, and the overall upper body settling.

If this kind of tension feels familiar, you can book a session through the link in my bio.

Running season is back ☀️

I’ve been running since I was young starting with cross country, then track, and I’ve carried it with me since. These days it’s more mid distance and 5Ks, and I’ve done a handful of half marathons over the years as well.

Right now I’m getting ready for Market to Market again and it’s a good reminder that running isn’t just about putting in miles, it’s about how your body handles them.

When your muscles are tight and overworked they don’t move the way they should. Blood flow and circulation aren’t as good as they could be, and everything starts to feel harder than it needs to.

Keeping your muscles loose isn’t just about feeling better after a run, it helps with performance and can go a long way in preventing injury.

2 hours isn’t about laying there longer.

It’s about having the time to actually work through what’s going on instead of rushing it.

That’s when real change happens.
