: Why can funerals be so expensive?

Funerals involve several important services that contribute to the overall cost. In addition to a basic services fee that covers essential arrangements, charges may include transferring the body to the funeral home, embalming and preparing the body, and use of facilities and staff for viewings and ceremonies.

Other expenses might include transportation like a hearse or service vehicle, printed memorial materials, a metal casket, vault or grave liner, and the purchase of a cemetery plot.

At Caldwell Parrish Funeral Home and Crematory, we believe in transparency and are here to help you understand every part of the process with compassion and care. If you have questions, we’re always ready to assist.
