Our vision is bold:

10 homes in 10 years — each one a place where families can find peace, comfort, and dignity during life’s most tender moments.

We’ve already opened our doors in Rome and Utica… and we’re working toward the next: perhaps a new home in the Little Falls area.

You can help bring that dream to life. Every gift makes a difference. 🌿

Together, we can grow a legacy of care.

Some stories stay with us forever — stories filled with warmth, humor, family, and unexpected joy.

When Ginny Rowland arrived at the Rome Abraham House, she was anxious about leaving home. But her family shared what happened next:

“Mom immediately renamed the house ‘The Ritz’ and fell in love with everything about it. She had a new lease on life for her final journey and started holding court with her friends and family to show off her new digs.”

Her family went on to say:

“Their compassion, kindness, warmth, patience, and sense of humor is endless. We felt like family the entire time. Their motto, ‘This home is your home,’ rings true every day.” “We will be forever grateful.” ❤️

From home-cooked meals in our kitchen… to cuddles with Callie, the family pup… to laughter in the living room — this is what living looks like, even at the end of life.

At Abraham House, we provide more than 24/7 caregiving — we offer the compassion and comfort of a surrogate family.

Our guests receive individualized, dignified, guest-centered care in a safe and secure home environment.

Here, families can simply care about their loved ones and let us care for them.

Abraham House isn’t a place where guests come to die… it’s a home where they complete their living. 🤍

Every person who walks through our doors brings their own story, their own journey, and their own circle of people who love them deeply.

Rose shares this message about her sister, Margaret Kelley:
“Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the love and care given to my sister. Your nurses and assistants were absolutely wonderful. I am so thankful for your home… the care was above and beyond anything.”

We are humbled by the trust families place in us, and we are honored to hold their loved ones with compassion, respect, and tenderness.

🌟 Meet Our Board: Stephen J. Ventura 🌟

Meet Stephen J. Ventura, a lifelong Utica resident who has spent more than 30 years serving the community through the local broadcasting industry.

In addition to his professional work, Stephen has been actively involved on various boards and in community organizations throughout the region.

As a board member and officer, Stephen is committed to guiding Abraham House as it works toward its long-term vision. He believes deeply in the mission and the meaningful impact Abraham House has not only on guests, but on their families during one of life’s most important moments.

Outside of board service, Stephen enjoys reading, music, and spending time on the golf course when the season allows.

Fun fact: he’ll be the first to admit — dancing is not his strong suit.

You’ll see us grow… but we hope you’ll help us grow. 💜

Last year, we were only able to serve 39% of our referrals — families who needed comfort, dignity, and compassionate end-of-life care.

To reach more of our community, our Vision 2035 Promise is bold:

10 homes in the next 10 years.

Our promise is to grow — for the families who need us now, and the ones who will need us tomorrow.
