Oneida Center Our mission is to provide the Oneida Center community with the finest rehabilitation and skilled nursing services anywhere.

Excellence is our goal and good outcomes in recovery and rehabilitation are our daily measures of progress. The history of Oneida Center as a part of the Centers Health Care family has just begun. But our history as a vital part of the New York State health care is well known. The addition of Oneida Center brings another opportunity to create good outcomes for our residents, both long term and short term, and adds an important level of convenience for the people of central New York, who can now access Centers Health Care quality and service in Utica, Cooperstown and Syracuse, as well as in locations both east and west of here. But more important, the outstanding staff and wonderful group of residents that have joined us in Oneida Center add immeasurably to the fabric of the Centers Health Care family. An attractive and well-maintained facility, and boasting a host of special amenities, Oneida Center brings their unique brand of compassionate care and long history of resident and family satisfaction to us along with a strong desire to do even more. And Centers Health Care is adding to that by bringing the very latest in training and on-going staff education and a commitment to our residents that goes far beyond a few weeks, months or years as a resident. From the day you arrive, you’ll be a part of a lifestyle that will make this chapter of your life something truly special. This next chapter in our history is just under way. National Activities Professionals Week is a week dedicated to recognize the efforts that activity professionals contribute to the well-being of short/long term care residents.

Many family members and visitors are unaware of the importance and benefits of an activities department in a short/long term care setting. That is why we think this recognition week is an excellent opportunity for our amazing and dedicated activity professionals to be thanked!

The activity directors arrange unique activities to the care center, based on location and the desires of the patients and residents. Each activity professional spends their time evaluating and meeting the unique needs of their residents to ensure maximum benefit and participation are reached within their center.

We believe that activities in our care centers are just as important as any other level of care for our patients and residents. Without this involvement and our family of compassionate caregivers, our care centers wouldn’t be a place to call home.

We want to publicly thank our activity directors who are committed to following their purpose of sharing their passion to enhance the lives of so many of residents.
