Gracious & Forward-Focused
We’re grateful for the strong turnout at our recent Town Hall. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect, share updates, and align on our continued commitment to excellence in care. Thank you to LI Script and MedElite for your partnership and presence on such a special day. Below are several exciting updates that were shared.
Bringing Care Directly to You
Through our partnership with MedElite, we have implemented a Treat-in-Place model, bringing board-certified clinicians and diagnostic services directly to residents.
• Fewer Hospital Transfers: Advanced clinical care and diagnostic tools allow many conditions to be treated on-site, reducing stressful hospital visits.
• Hospital Collaboration: When hospitalization is necessary, MedElite works closely with Wynn Hospital to ensure seamless coordination and a smooth transition back to care.
• Expanded Clinical Presence: Physicians and Nurse Practitioners are now on-site five days per week, providing increased medical oversight.
• 24/7 Support: Through Third Eye Health telemedicine, nurses have access to medical support during evenings and weekends.
Your Dedicated Clinical Team
Residents receive care from a specialized team including:
• Dr. Rekha Menon, MD – Attending Physician
• Melanie Padmanabhan, NP – Primary Care
• Theresa Belasco, NP – Primary Care
• Dr. Matthew Grier, DO, FAAPMR – Physiatrist
• Jonathan Mizgala, NP – Psychiatry
Seamless Pharmacy Support
Our pharmacy partner LI Script specializes in serving senior living communities.
• Real-Time Safety Monitoring: Integration with our electronic health records allows pharmacists to review prescriptions instantly and prevent medication interactions.
• Goal-Directed Care: Medications—especially psychotropics—are carefully managed to maintain the lowest effective dose, improving alertness and reducing fall risks.
• Insurance Coordination: While copays are determined by insurance plans, pharmacists work with providers to identify covered alternatives when possible.
Looking Ahead
Plans are also underway to develop an outpatient clinic on campus, which will expand access to care for residents, employees, and the surrounding community. This initiative will further strengthen our ability to provide convenient, coordinated medical services while supporting the health of the entire campus community.
