Each month, Dr. Khan and Steve Olson, director of Nursing in the ED, recognize outstanding ED providers, nurses and staff. This week, we recognized two team members for their outstanding commitment to their patients and for always going above and beyond.

Laila Russitano, a night shift patient care technician, was recognized for being a great communicator and compassionate with all of her patients. (Laila was not present at the recognition.)

Mony Seng, a day shift nurse, was recognized for always working as hard as she can for this organization, often seven days a week.

Congratulations Laila and Mony!

Yesterday afternoon, MVHS welcomed the season with a holiday lighting celebration at Wynn Hospital, illuminating the Christmas tree and Hanukkah menorah in the lobby.

Father Marian Pociecha shared blessings and the meaning behind both traditions. Farmer Ben Simon and his wife, Robin, in conjunction with Clinton Tractor, generously donated a child's tractor for our Pediatric Unit. The evening was made even sweeter with cookies and cocoa as we celebrated together. ✨🎄🕎

Thank you to the Religion Education students of St. Patrick–St. Anthony Church in Chadwicks for their generosity! They donated 115 Jared Boxes to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals at MVHS for our pediatric patients — even more than last year.

These boxes, filled with toys and activities, are shared with children in our Pediatric and Ambulatory Surgery units to help make their visit to the Wynn Hospital a little more comfortable. Thank you for making a big difference!

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to the entire Nimey Auto Group family for their incredible donation to the MVHS Breast Care Center! 🎗️

Last week, representatives from Nimey's New Generation Cars, Den Kelly Chevrolet GMC Inc. of the Nimey Auto Group, Matt Nimey GMC, NextGen Car Care and Winns Automotive Sales and Service stopped by to drop off funds raised through their wonderful Brakes for Bo***es initiative.

This inspiring effort took place throughout October and was started in honor of someone close to them who is courageously battling cancer. Their commitment helps us further the Stomp Out Cancer cause right here in the Mohawk Valley!
