As another year passes, Uvalde continues to stand together with strength, compassion, and unwavering support for one another. We remember the 21 we lost, hold close those who continue to grieve, and remain united as a community. ❤️‍🩹

Tonight, we pause on the eve of the 4th anniversary of May 24, 2022. We continue to pray for our families, friends, and our entire community.

𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝗿𝘁: The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has issued a health advisory alerting health professionals about the new outbreak of Ebola disease in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Uganda. As of May 19, no cases of the disease have been reported in the United States, and the risk to the U.S. public is considered low.

The Democratic Republic of Congo’s soccer team is scheduled to train in Houston and play a game during next month’s World Cup. The Texas Department of Health and Human Services is working with the CDC, FIFA and local health departments to protect the health and safety of Texans.

Clinicians are advised to consider either the currently active Ebola or Bundibugyo strains in patients who’ve recently traveled or been exposed and are presenting compatible symptoms, and test for similar illnesses.

Every year during Hospital Week, our team at Uvalde Memorial Hospital comes together to support a local cause and this year was no different!

This past week, our staff rallied together to collect donations for Southwest Family Life Centers, Inc. Boxes of diapers, hygiene products, household essentials, and more, all going directly to people who need them.

Thank you to every UMH employee who contributed. 💙
