As we recognize National Kidney Month, we’re proud to highlight the continued growth of our inpatient dialysis program at Uvalde Memorial Hospital.
This photo captures a meaningful moment from December, our 200th overall dialysis treatment.
Since then, the program has continued to grow. In FY 24–25, our team provided 159 treatments. Now, just halfway through this year, we have already reached 155, reflecting the increasing need for dialysis services in our community.
By offering dialysis locally, patients no longer have to travel nearly 80 miles to San Antonio for care.
Because of this program, we’ve helped our community avoid
• 24,800+ miles of travel this year
• 400+ hours on the road
• 50,000+ miles since the program began
For patients who are critically ill, staying close to home makes all the difference.
