If you’re unsure where to start with healing your acne, let these tips be your guide! 💌

1) USE MANDELIC ACID DAILY: what sets this AHA apart from the others (glycolic and lactic) has a larger molecular size and most potent antibacterial and antifungal properties which is why it’s been a staple for acne- and folliculitis-prone skin.

2) AVOID PORE-CLOGGING MAKEUP: no makeup is truly ever “acne safe” because it differs person to person what will trigger breakouts but generally there are great quality makeup products on the market with zero-minimal pore clogging ingredients. Copy and paste ingredient lists of your makeup products into the pore clogger checker linked in my bio to audit your routine!

3) PRIORITIZE INTERNAL HEALTH: inflammation is the main cause of acne and the only way to address it is to understand what your body needs internally — this can be from nutrient deficiencies, imbalanced gut/hormones, poor hydration and more. clear skin supplement duo is a great way to start for anti-inflammatory and immune support from the inside out ✨

4) AVOID PICKING SKIN: this is a big one and more common than you think — practice speaking kindly to yourself in the mirror rather than nitpicking, ice your breakouts to reduce the redness and put a hydrocolloid patch on it to create a physical barrier.

5) GET 7+ HOURS QUALITY SLEEP: sleep has long been linked to immune function — allowing our body to cycle through deep sleep is where the most critical cell turnover and tissue repair occurs.
