This morning, deputies received a call from a gentleman experiencing symptoms of dementia. He explained that he was lost and needed assistance.

While on the phone, the man lost cell reception as he described being in a remote area of Yolo County. Deputies began searching, and one of them eventually found him resting in a field.

He was taken to EMS personnel who were staged nearby, evaluated, and it was determined that he was a missing person from Sacramento. Thanks to the quick actions of everyone involved, he was ultimately reunited with his family.
