Refuge Massage & Wellness MN

Refuge Massage & Wellness MN Restorative massage with non-toxic products tailored to your body's needs. Hi, I'm Emilie! I’m passionate about helping people find healing and relief.

White Bear Lake, MN

* Relaxation Massage
* Therapeutic Massage
* Prenatal & Postpartum Massage
* CST (adult and infant) My own health journey taught me how powerful holistic care can be. Through many years of health struggles, I found deep healing through alternative and holistic care. I graduated summa cm laude as valedictorian of the Therapeutic Massage program at Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU). But more than titles, I bring compassion to every session. Outside of the massage room, I enjoy walking, spending time with family and friends, swing dancing, and deepening my faith in Jesus. Whether it’s reading Scripture, being part of my church community, or worshipping through music, my faith is what grounds me and fuels the way I serve others. I would be honored to walk alongside you in your healing journey.

Most people think pain shows up suddenly.
But in reality, the body is sending you quiet signals and whispers all the time.

And most of us spend our days not even noticing these signals until we notice the pain.

One of the biggest shifts I see with clients is what happens when massage becomes part of their routine, instead of something they wait to book once the pain arrives.

Your body deserves support long before it reaches that point.

And the more you support your body, the less intense the signals become.

Force creates resistance. Safety creates release.

Tension responds better to safety than force. When the nervous system feels safe, the body softens.

That’s where real change happens.

Consistency changes everything.

Real change in the body doesn’t happen in one session.
It happens through consistent, supportive care over time.

When care becomes a rhythm instead of a reaction, the body responds differently —
tension softens sooner, the nervous system settles faster, and the work can actually build.

That’s why I created Refuge Memberships —
to support a steady, proactive approach to care that leads to lasting change.

Memberships begin today 🤍

If this is the kind of care your body has been needing, you can reach out with any questions.

I don’t believe one provider can do everything.

Over time, I’ve seen how important it is to have a team of care — people who support your body in different ways, at different times.

These are practitioners I trust and feel confident referring to.

Each of them brings something unique, and I’m grateful to be part of a community that cares deeply about helping people heal.

If you’re looking for support beyond massage and bodywork, this is a great place to start 🤍

And if you’re ever unsure what direction to go, I’m always happy to help guide you.

Healing doesn’t happen in isolation — it happens in connection and community. 🤍✨

Sometimes the answer really is… everywhere 😅

When the body has been holding onto tension for a while, it can’t all unwind at once.

Healing happens in layers —
it didn’t build overnight, and it won’t resolve overnight either.

That’s why we take it one step at a time, with consistent care.

Massage doesn’t have to hurt to be effective.

I hear so many stories of people feeling like they have to “push through” or be worked on as deeply as possible for it to make a difference.

But when the body feels forced, it often responds by bracing — not releasing.

Real change happens when we work with the body, not against it.

When the nervous system feels safe, the tissue can actually soften.

You don’t have to fight your body to feel better 🤍

I believe the body deserves more consistency and less crisis.

More listening and less forcing.

So often we wait until pain is loud, stress is overwhelming, or burnout is undeniable before we respond.

But the body whispers long before it screams.

Consistency creates resilience.
Listening creates sustainability.

What would shift if care became rhythm instead of reaction?

Stress rarely arrives all at once.

It builds quietly in the body — offering subtle cues long before it becomes overwhelming.

When those early signals are supported, care feels different.

More steady.
More sustainable.

I’m working on something to help create that kind of rhythm 🤍
