Looking for a fun activity this weekend? Create DIY projectors with your kids!
It's simple and leads to loads of fun!

Step 1: Get some recycled toilet paper/paper towel rolls
Step 2: Draw a design on a piece of packing tape
Step 3: Stick the tape so it covers the opening on one end of the roll
Step 4: Find a dark room
Step 5: Shine light through the paper roll and see your image project on the wall!
Step 6: Have fun!

As providers, the sandbox is big enough for everyone this school year.

Alyssa Phillips, Regional Clinical Training Coordinator and PBS Ethics Committee member shares how collaboration with other providers ensures client-centered care.

When working with our clients in the school/daycare be sure to work together and play nice in the sandbox. We all want the client’s best interest to be the main focus! Work with the teachers/other providers on ways the client can be successful, we want to create an awesome multidisciplinary team!

Dr. Shane Spiker writes, "Back to school can be a difficult time for many of our learners. Ethical and effective transitions back into school doesn't have to be painful, though. Behavior analysts can plan sessions to include gradual transitions into school routines, which can successfully reduce risks and potential harms related to the change in routines."

A very special Happy Birthday to our Founder and Owner, Dr. Michael Nolan! 🤩🥳🎂

Dr. Nolan celebrated his birthday over the weekend, and we wanted to take a moment to celebrate him!

In 2007, Dr. Nolan founded PBS, with its first state being Florida! Since then, with the support of the incredible team he's built, we've expanded to over 30 US states & Ontario, Canada to support families in need of ABA services.

Summer may be ending, but swimsuit safety is forever.

The Autism Society of Florida reports that children with autism are 160 times more likely to drown. You can keep your loved one safe by dressing them in swimsuit colors that are neon and vibrant to increase visibility.

These colors include bright, neon colors like orange, yellow, and green to help your loved one stand out in the water.

Avoid blues and dark colors, as they can blend into the water and make it difficult to spot your loved one.

While bright swimsuit colors improve visibility, active supervision is the key to keeping your child safe.
