And healing feels like betrayal to everyone else. Boundaries feel like no one will ever want to be in our lives if we are “bringing things to the table”, but we are also worthy of people in our lives who want to love us. Heal. Practice what your therapist says. 🖤

I hear it constantly- children asking what they have to DO to WARN the love of their parents, grandparents, friends- society has conditioned us to feel ALL things are productivity. Wrong. Love flows FREELY! Please show your children that you love them!

If it’s drama and they talking bad about you or each other, move on. Your real people exist.

Suffocating the feeling doesn’t make it go away. It just buries it until it resurfaces later. If you let the pain be felt and sit in it, with it. The healing happens. Don’t sit alone.

As a therapist and a mom- it’s HARD to step outside of ourselves and just listen to understand without trying to defend ourselves as parents. We have to practice mindfulness and listen. It isn’t about you or me, it’s about providing a safe space for our children to process and heal. You’ve got this!!

Education helps. Social media has tried to define these trends incorrectly. Please make sure you understand what these actually mean. Being informed helps us do better, because we can know better.
