Our team of experienced funeral care specialists works hard to meet each individual’s unique needs with creative funerals and memorials. Music Funeral Services has been providing funeral services and goods to the Lakeland area since 1955 and is still independently owned. Beginning in Lakeland our company has grown to a second location to serve the Valdosta area, with at need funeral services, advanced planning, monument design, and er****on services, including granite, marble, and bronze. The excellent reputation Music Funeral Services has acquired over the years has been a direct result of caring and compassionate service, a highly trained staff, comfortable facilities, and a continuing awareness of community needs and changes. Music Funeral Services can arrange national and international transfers, pre-arrangements, and cremations, as well as traditional funerals which can be held either in our chapel, at the cemetery, or one's home church.

Meet Charles Arnold, one of the newest members of our Part-Time Funeral Assistant team at Music Funeral Services.

Charles brings a lifetime of dedication and service to our team. Born and raised in Valdosta, Georgia, he spent 40 years with the City of Quitman, retiring as Superintendent of the Electrical Department, and also served nearly 11 years with the Brooks County Board of Commissioners.

A proud member of Hillside Church of God, Charles values time spent with his family. He is the father of two children, Charlie and Amy, and a devoted grandfather to five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys relaxing at home with his family and his dog.

It was a great evening at Lowndes High School celebrating the impact that the SEGA FCA is making in the lives of local coaches and students. We enjoyed a delicious meal, meaningful fellowship, and hearing from keynote speaker Aaron Murray, former quarterback at UGA, who went on to play in the NFL. Congratulations to all of the athletes who were honored - your hard work and dedication truly deserve to be celebrated!

A Valdosta native, Shara recently returned to the area after spending 26 years supporting her husband during his career in the United States Air Force—a journey that strengthened her commitment to service, community, and caring for others.

As a Licensed Insurance Agent, Shara brings a deep understanding of listening carefully, answering questions honestly, and treating every individual with compassion and respect. What truly sets her apart is her genuine love for helping people. She believes pre-planning is an act of care—bringing comfort, clarity, and peace of mind to families.

A devoted wife and mother of four, Shara draws on her family values and experiences as a military spouse to guide and support families through meaningful decisions for the future. Outside the office, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, especially relaxing at her favorite place, St. Augustine Beach.
