🚨 Warming Shelter Update 🚨

Last night, due to extreme cold weather, we provided a warm and safe space for 26 individuals—not all experiencing homelessness, but all in need of protection from the cold. Despite expanding capacity, we unfortunately had to turn away 14 individuals because of limited space.

To better meet this urgent need, the warming shelter has been relocated.

📍 New Location: The Woman’s Building
📍 Address: 1409 N. Patterson Street
🕕 Hours: 6:00 PM – 9:00 AM daily

We will continue to monitor weather conditions closely and remain open as long as inclement weather persists to ensure a safe, warm place for those in need.

⚠️ Please note: At this time, we are unable to accommodate pets due to space and safety limitations.

We welcome monetary donations, warm blankets, hygiene items, and volunteers to support overnight operations during this cold stretch. Every contribution helps us keep our neighbors safe.

💜 Donation Drop-Offs Are Open Again! 💜

Now that we’ve wrapped up another successful Adopt A Family season, The Haven is accepting donations again to support survivors and families throughout the year.

Donations will be accepted on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 1805 Plum St. Please be sure to hand off donations directly to a staff member and avoid leaving items at the back door. Outdoor weather and humidity can damage donations if left outside.

🚨 Warming Shelter OPENING 🚨

Due to freezing overnight temperatures, Lowndes Associated Ministries to People, Inc. (LAMP) will open a Warming Shelter to ensure no one has to face the cold alone.

🗓 Thursday, January 15th
⏰ Doors open at 6:00 PM
📍 714 Charlton St., Valdosta, GA
🕗 Closes Monday at 8:00 AM
