My therapist asked a question that cracked me open:

“Jovanny, if pure love—manifested in the woman of your dreams—were to simply appear in front of you right now, ready to shower you with her love & grace AND without you having to do anything for it… would you receive it?”

I almost cried.

I got teary because my mind & body couldn’t imagine being loved just because. I couldn’t conceive of receiving love that I didn’t have to work hard for or slay a dragon for.

In the back of my mind, I was thinking: "Is that even a real thing—being loved just because? Not because I did something or proved something? How can that even be possible… a love that didn’t have to be earned or suffered for?"

Her question broke my mind. And my heart.

So I told her the truth.

“No. I can’t.”

“Why not?” she asked.

“It just feels…. wrong… to accept something I didn’t earn. I wouldn’t trust it.”

Our Neighbors will be hosting a food drive this Saturday!

Clear Point Therapy is partnering with Second Harvest of South Georgia, Inc. to host a Mobile Food Drive on Saturday, November 15th at 10:30 a.m.

This event is open to the public and will provide free food assistance to families in need. With the ongoing government shutdown impacting many in our community, we want to do our part to help.

SGMC Health is now accepting applications for our College Volunteer Program! This 15-week experience gives undergraduate students hands-on exposure to both clinical and non-clinical roles, plus the chance to contribute to a Quality Improvement Project that enhances patient care.

📅 Program Dates: Jan 19 – May 1
🕒 Two 4-hour shifts per week
✅ Gain valuable experience for your future healthcare career!

Requirements:
✔ Currently enrolled as an undergraduate college student
✔ Commit to a screening interview
