The mission of the Valdosta State University Counseling Center is to provide a broad range of mental health services to the university students aimed at maximizing the personal growth and development of its members. These services include a wide variety of preventive, remedial, educational, and crisis management activities.

Mental Health Awareness Month was established in 1949 to increase awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness in Americans’ lives and to celebrate recovery from mental illness. This month the Counseling Center will participate in helping bring awareness about the vital role mental health plays in our overall health and well-being and provide resources and information to support students who may need mental health support. 💚
