Pioneer Place Nursing and Rehabilitation and Assisted Living

Pioneer Place is a not-for-profit facility that provides skilled nursing home care, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy. We also have Assisted Living apartments for those who simply need some assistance with their daily needs. ertified. The nursing facility specializes in short-term stays helping people get back home to their prior lifestyle after experiencing an injury, joint replacement or stroke. The nursing home also provides long-term care for those who can no longer take care of themselves. Our Assisted Living Facility has 31 units with bathrooms that have walk-in showers. The Nursing Facility has 33 beds. Each nursing home room has it's own toilet and sink. Pioneer Place also provides individualized climate control in each patient and resident room. It gets hot here, and air conditioning helps keep us all comfortable during those sunny eastern Oregon summer days. When choosing a nursing home, take the time to physically tour each local facility. While some may find the commute to Vale (17 minutes) an inconvenience, we ask you to recognize the importance of patient comfort and quality of care and services for the patient.
