What a fun week we had hosting level 1 Occupational Therapy students for their Pyscho-social fieldwork rotation.

They got a first hand look into the chaos of running a small private community/nature based practice while balancing family life.

We had great discussions about the many ways we support the mental health of our clients and their caregivers while also supporting our own mental health as Occupational Therapists. (Hint: being in nature helps a lot ) .💚

We had fun with our Level 1 OT field work students today learning about community collaboration, play, engagement, sensory systems, self care, empowering and supporting parents, and most importantly how to catch a tadpole. We also practiced being “adventure artists” and did some nature drawing. 💚

We love the dentists and staff at . They are all so incredibly kind patient, especially when it comes to kids with sensory issues or anxiety around the dentist. I love that they are offering this free event in our community. (Also, I’m so sorry I forgot my kids appointment this week😵‍💫).
