Lets talk about dry needling. Lanell has been dry needling patients since 2017. While dry needling and acupuncture are similar in the needles used, they are very different in the application of those needles. Dry needling focuses on placing a needle into a specific muscle trigger point to release tension and improve muscle function. Typically, we also use electrical stimulation (e-stim) in the clinic. But don’t be afraid, it really doesn’t hurt. Actually, the e-sim is proven to stimulate the muscle and the nerves promoting muscle relaxation and enhancing the pain-relieving effects of dry needling. A whole month to celebrate the vital role physical therapy plays in helping people recover from injuries, manage chronic conditions, and improve their overall mobility and function. In case you didn’t know Valentine Physical Therapy and Sports Rehab is a locally owned clinic with Lanell Graham as the one and only therapist. But isn’t that great you see the physical therapist at every visit! Not a therapy assistant or a different therapist. Every day we have a choice as to how we approach the world around us. In physical therapy you also have a choice. Don’t forget if you receive a referral or prescription for physical therapy services no matter what provider or doctor you can choose who you want to see for physical therapy.
