Deputy Director Tai Lee and Educator Thomas McAdam represented CDM alongside exhibitors from Rockland Paramedic Services and Medline at the WMC Health Trauma Symposium. EMS providers from throughout the got to intubate K9 Diesel and one of our pediatric simulators. Our IFAK Giveaway was won by the youngest first responder in the audience representing Lenape VAC. We'd like to thank Art Ditzel from WMC for the invitation.

We are proud to announce that Deputy Director Tai Lee has been appointed by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians as one of three State Education Coordinators for New York. The partnership between the NAEMT and CDM continues to grow with this volunteer position that will promote great programs here at the Center and throughout the state.

Earlier this week, in collaboration with the Michael Tang Regional Center for Clinical Simulation at Touro University Nevada, our team presented our Tactical Emergency Casualty Care Plus Rescue Task Force (TECC-RTF) course to first responders and first receivers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Area. The students learned about the concepts and principles of bleeding control, airway management, and victim evacuation.

The team is excited to continue to provide high-quality, high-impact training to our partners in the EMS, hospitals, schools, fire service, law enforcement, and hospitality industries.

Deputy Director Tim Lima , Educator Thomas McAdam , and Fellow Craig Martinez presented our Tactical Emergency Casualty Care + Rescue Task Force course, a collaboration between the Center for Disaster Medicine and the Michael Tang Regional Center for Clinical Simulation at Touro University Nevada . The course was conducted from March 23 through March 25 where first responders, nurses, and security personnel were trained in concepts of , , and victim .

A testimonial from one of the students were: "The course was the best EMS course I have ever been involved with."

Super proud moment!!! Keely Anne (Fellow and Instructor at CDM) just graduated from the NYC DEP Police Academy!!! Deputy Director Tim Lima , Craig Martinez (Fellow and Instructor at CDM), and Tommy Cummings (Fellow and Instructor at CDM) were in attendance at the Ulster Performing Arts Center to see Keely and her classmates walk across the stage. We all wish Keely a safe and exciting adventure and can't wait to have her back on campus!!!

Back in January, we were proud to host the Certified Laboratory Instructor (CLI) course for Westchester Regional Emergency Medical Services Council . EMTs and Paramedics from throughout the region, from as far as Kingston all the way down to Staten Island, came to learn what it takes and what is expected of a lab instructor in an EMS course. We wish these future much luck in their endeavors!
