Our Annual Irish Concert and Celebration brought the spirit of Ireland to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, filling the halls with lively music, smiles, and heartfelt moments.

This festive, family-friendly event gave patients, families, and staff a chance to come together and enjoy live Irish music and cultural traditions, creating an uplifting break from the everyday and reminding us of the healing power of joy and community.

❤️ Empowering Students to Protect Heart Health

Project ADAM New York, in partnership with Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital, New York Medical College, and In A Heartbeat A Heartbeat, recently provided EKG heart screenings along with CPR/AED education and hands‑on training to 55 students at Rye Country Day School in Rye, NY.

The event also included blood pressure screenings offered through Westchester Medical Center’s Mobile Medical Unit.

Together, these activities highlighted the importance of heart health and equipped students with the confidence and skills to respond during emergencies involving sudden cardiac arrest.

When nine-year-old Mason collapsed at school, his mother, Jennifer, was thrown into every parent’s worst fear.​

After a frightening experience at a local emergency room and unanswered questions, Mason was transferred to Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital. From the moment they arrived, everything changed. The team stabilized Mason, took the time to explain what was happening, and began the specialized testing needed to uncover the real cause.​​

Doctors diagnosed Mason with idiopathic pulmonary hypertension, an extremely rare condition in children
that had previously been mistaken for asthma. Under the care of Dr. Erika Rosenzweig Berman and the pediatric cardiac team, Mason received targeted treatment, providing his family with clarity, confidence, and hope.​

Jennifer now calls herself a lifelong champion of Maria Fareri, sharing Mason’s story so other families know that expert pediatric cardiac care can make all the difference.​

Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital has opened a brand new Pediatric Rehabilitation Gym — a bright, inspiring space built to help kids heal, grow, play, and thrive. This state-of-the-art facility will be serving pediatric patients hospitalized at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital due to acute illness or injuries.

Thanks to the generosity of our amazing community, this state-of-the-art gym supports the full spectrum of pediatric physical, occupational and speech therapy needs, particularly for the most critically impacted. It’s a powerful investment in the future of local children.
