I’m excited to share that I have successfully defended my PhD thesis, ‘Targeting IL-1 Signaling in Recessive Dystrophic Epidermolysis Bullosa: Improved Survival and Pathogenesis in an RDEB Mouse Model,’ on March 16, 2026.
This work was completed as part of the PhD Program in Microbiology & Immunology. This journey has been long and challenging, but incredibly rewarding. Grateful for the mentors, friends, and family who made it possible—excited to now return to the School of Medicine to continue my clinical training.
A major milestone in a long journey, and I am looking forward to embracing the next chapter of my MD-PhD training.
