Smiles (and bears) Delivered!
Last week, enCourage Kids Foundation brought joy to the young patients at Blythedale Children’s Hospital, delivering toys, teddy bears, and love through their "Send A Smile, Send A Bear" program.
With generous donations from top toy brands and a special check presentation to support the Hospital's Creative Arts program, the day was filled with smiles, laughter, and hope.

The Acrisure Fall Golf Classic for Blythedale, celebrating its 30th year, was held on September 8th, returning to Siwanoy Country Club in Bronxville, NY. More than $300,000 was raised in support of the Robert Stone Day Hospital at Blythedale Children’s Hospital. With the sun shining, 134 golfers enjoyed a great day on the links, and continued the festivities with a dinner program that included heartfelt remarks from Andrew Padilla, the father of a former patient.

This annual event has raised more than $4.7 million over the years for crucial Hospital programs. Many thanks to our longtime event chair and Blythedale supporter, Carmine Lippolis, our golf committee, and our numerous corporate and individual sponsors, including event title sponsor Acrisure.

Four exceptional employees at Blythedale were recognized as our 2025 Guiding Star Award winners during a special ceremony this week. The Guiding Star Award continues the proud tradition of peer-to-peer recognition, and celebrating those employees whose work shines brightly across Blythedale. Three of the winners, Elizabeth DeCecco in Development, Jean Marie Florkowski in Occupational Therapy, and Kimberly Vitale in Pharmacy, were chosen from a pool of nearly 50 heartfelt nominations for consistently demonstrating the qualities that define : innovation, excellence, compassion, optimism, and teamwork. President and CEO Larry Levine was also recognized as a Guiding Star for his tireless advocacy and leadership during his 26-year tenure at Blythedale. Congratulations to all!

Aubrey was just 12 when she fell during volleyball tryouts. Her injury wasn't healing and that's when a CT scan discovered tumors on her spine. She lost her ability to walk, but at Blythedale, she never gave up. Thank you, ABC7NY, for featuring Aubrey's story of determination during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
