Dr. Narayan never likes to dress up for Halloween, and every year his wife Reena tries to inspire him to do so. This morning she asked him, “Why don’t you want to dress up?”He replied, “I don’t want to be seen. I don’t want the attention.” On her way to work, Mrs Narayan had an insight she shared with him and their daughters. Here is that thought, along with a fun image of Amber, our amazing massage therapist, from today:
Halloween Revelation: 🎃💀👻
Halloween isn’t about being frightened by monsters out there. It’s about acknowledging and understanding our inner monsters. What is your inner monster? Your dad mentioned he didn’t want to dress up because he didn’t want to be seen. I get that. But why is being seen one of our monsters? Is it fear of judgment? Is it the feeling of shame we experience when we are judged? Is it being at the whim and mercy of others’ opinions? Who exactly are our judges and why does their opinion matter so much? I would like to acknowledge some of our fears this All Hallows Eve. Let’s not judge them. Let’s not change them. Let’s just let them lie there for now.
Our graveyards are alive with many past hauntings.
