I PASSED!!! 🙌 This is a huge deal for me, not only professionally, but also personally. I’ve struggled with test anxiety my whole life and this exam was definitely nerve racking for me. However, I studied hard and it paid off. I’m officially a Lamaze Certified Childbirth Educator!!! 👩🏻‍🏫

When mommy’s at a birth, Finley and dad get some good one on one time! As a doula, I often have to leave at a moment’s notice. This guy holds down the fort like no other. I’m extremely grateful for his unwavering support!✨

Postpartum: Instagram vs. reality. To be completely honest, I was a complete wreck during this phase. Nothing could have prepared me for the reality of sleepless nights and basically becoming a human milk factory (not to mention my healing body). It’s ok to be not ok. It’s more than ok to reach out for help. We are not meant to do this alone. There is support out there.❤️

Hi! My name is Allison and I am the founder of Birth with Empathy Doula Services. It is my honor to support families all over the Bay Area, CA. I am originally from the LA area but I came to the Bay in 2013 and never looked back. In my past life I was an ESL teacher and world traveler. Now, I am focusing on birth work. It is my true calling! I’m also a wife and mama. I gave birth in August 2020 and wasn’t able to have a doula present, but I sure as hell had a postpartum doula at home. Stay tuned for more about my story soon! I’m looking forward to using this platform to connect with families and other birth workers. ❤️
