✨🧠Take a moment to renew your mind this morning:

If you struggle to focus through this much scripture I want to encourage you to read it out loud.💗

“Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.

“We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, most people would not be willing to die for an upright person, though someone might perhaps be willing to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s condemnation. For since our friendship with God was restored by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be saved through the life of his Son. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God because our Lord Jesus Christ has made us friends of God.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬-‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

🙏🏼✨Prayer isn’t about polishing your words, thoughts, feelings, or situations so you can bring them before a Holy God.

It’s a place to be fully unraveled, exposed, and brutally honest with the Holy God who loves you more than you ever dreamed possible!

He’s not afraid of, offended by, or caught off guard by the sharpness of your tongue, depth of your emotions, or the chaos and brokenness of the situations that are spinning your mind in a loop.

He sees it all and knows it all already.

So lay your heart out before our Heavenly Father, that Holy God today!

Lay out the brokenness
Lay out the beauty

Bring Him the groans of your heart that don’t make any sense to you. They’ll make sense to Him and that’s what matters.

✝️🩸Recognizing your need for Jesus is the most important and humbling thing you can do.

Today, as I worshipped, I kept feeling a heaviness in my spirit I couldn't quite put into words. I felt desperate, hopeless.

Desperate for others to experience Salvation.
Desperate for the oil of His presence.
Desperate for more of Jesus and less of me.

So, by the Spirit, I prayed,

"Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life" (Psalm 139:23-24 NLT).

☀️

What happened in my spirit after that felt like being exposed, wide open, on an autopsy table.

Jesus showed me that I've been moving away from Him. It's been happening slowly, one movie choice, one moment of stillness filled with scrolling, and one careless thought at a time.

My breakthrough struck when I began declaring, in worship, my need for Jesus. Desperation turned to hope, and hope transformed the enemy's lies into the truth from Jesus.

In the light of truth, I began to realize I'd been trying to work out others' Salvation, the oil of His presence, and more of Him and less of myself in my own strength.

🦋

Through a humbling of my heart posture, things began to shift...

Desperation for others to experience Salvation, transformed into praying the truth of Scripture over them and believing God will keep His promises.

Desperation for the oil of His presence, transformed into recognizing that I was operating in pride and needed to "humble myself before God" (James 4:7 NLT) so He would come close to me.

Desperation for more of Jesus and less of me, transformed into shifting my eyes off myself and back onto my Treasure in heaven—Jesus.

💡

I went from desperate and hopeless to humble and encouraged!

The Holy Spirit pointed out the offence of pride and healed it with the balm of humility. God, in His kindness, showed me how empty I am without without the presence of Jesus.

💗

Cry out before God's throne just how much you you need Jesus.

I promise you'll be met with more love than you've ever dreamed of.

🌳✝️How do we do what Jesus does the same way trees do fruit?

In other words, “How do we walk in the depth of freedom Jesus bought for us at the cross instead of the shallow waters of simply being a better Christian?”

Prayer - Worship - Dying to Self - Thanksgiving - Trust - And so many more like…

REPENTANCE

Repentance is an avenue that brings more of Jesus on earth as it is in heaven.

It’s an avenue by which we walk in abundance, and don’t just hold our new life in Christ “as an idea in our heads or sentiment in our hearts, but work out its implications in every detail of our lives” (Galatians 5:25 MSG).

💗

Cool, BUT WHAT IS REPENTANCE?

Strong’s Concordance gives this definition: “Repentance involves a turning with contrition from sin to God… to accept the divine forgiveness.”

OR

Repentance is feeling deeply broken over choosing obedience to the devil or yourself instead of choosing obedience to the Father. Then, from that broken place, you lay those feelings before the Father to receive, in fullness, the forgiveness poured over, in, and through you by the blood of Jesus.

🕍

You see, repentance was never designed to be this sterile church word that leaves us feeling confused and disconnected from our Heavenly Father.

It’s an invitation into the deep, beautiful love He so desperately wants us to receive. I mean, He sent His Son to die in our place so we might receive it. That’s no small act…

🍇

So here’s the encouragement:

When you feel correction from the Holy Spirit, will you shake the devil off your back, let condemnation take a hike, and receive in fullness the beauty of God’s correction?

There’s a garden full of the fruit of the Spirit on the other side of your repentance!

🙃🔥Today was a hard day mentally, accompanied by a lack of ambition to accomplish the things I knew were part of my Kingdom work.

They were simple things: dishes, laundry, preparing dinner before a late work-night.

I was battling an intense feeling of dread followed by the nagging thought, "I just don't want to."

🙏

Well, at some point, I was utterly fed up, and I started talking out loud with the Lord. With the help of His Holy Spirit, I realized I was fighting that battle in my own strength instead of His.

Part of Isaiah 30:19 flashed in my mind, "He will be gracious if you ask for help."

Did you catch that? IF you ask for help!

I snapped back, "I shouldn't have to ask!"

Que a heart-stilling, humbling silence from both of us (the Lord and me)...

Hello pride, arrogance, and a lack of humility... Where have you been hiding?🤢

I'm thankful that my heavenly Father loves me enough to call me on my crap–that He's not willing to leave me suffering in a pit of my own sin.

I'm thankful that I have an Ever-present Help in trouble.

I'm thankful my sin was exposed so that repentance and forgiveness could be received.

🦋

What's God pulling out of you these days?

How have you had to turn from yourself back to God?

🦋✨Biblical affirmation: "I can believe that everything God has for me is good, pleasing, and perfect."

This is true even when it doesn't FEEL like it.

This is true even when it FEELS like your world is crumbling around you.

This is true even when it FEELS like the darkness has completely consumed you.

✝️

Your FEELINGS don't always tell the Truth, but Jesus does!!!

📖

So, fix your mind on the TRUTH of Scripture.

Fix your mind on the Father.

Fix your mind on Jesus.

Stop believing the lies from the world around you and the enemy of your eternal life.

"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect" (Romans 12:2 NLT).

☀️

Stop living in unbelief.

Stop believing so small.

And start trusting the Savior who paid the price for your life with His own.

💗✨In every moment, there’s an opportunity for the glory of the Lord to be put on display!

💭🔥What if the judgment you’ve been casting on someone else is actually something the Father sees in you that you’ve been deflecting?…

“And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own” (Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭3‬ ‭NLT‬‬)?

Other ways I’ve heard this said are…

• They’re living in a glass house.

• Don’t forget about the three fingers pointing back at you.

• That’s rich coming from you.

🌸

I want to challenge you by the power of the Holy Spirit. Anytime, over the next couple of days, you notice yourself harshly judging someone flip it back on yourself.

“She prays too long” becomes “Am I obedient to follow the Holy Spirit into the depth of prayer He’s calling me to?”

“My husband never listens to me when I talk” becomes “Am I actually caring about the things he says to me?”

“Her opinions come from such a worldly place” becomes “Am I letting the truth of Scripture shape all of my beliefs?”

There is no place for condemnation in this activity, because there’s no room for condemnation in Jesus’ Kingdom!!!

💌 Only an invitation to spend more time with your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

“Store your treasures in heaven… Wherever your treasure is, there the desires of your heart will also be” (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬).

“Go out and stand before me on the mountain,” the Lord told him. And as Elijah stood there, the Lord passed by, and a mighty windstorm hit the mountain.. but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was… the sound of a gentle whisper.” 1 Kings‬ ‭19‬:‭11-12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

If you read on in the passage you’ll come to find the voice, that gentle whisper, was the voice of God calling to Elijah.

So today, I’m choosing to battle the shouting wind that says, “I always have to be productive” with a puzzle and praise music!

How are you fighting your battles today?

💭I wonder if the enemy is using thoughts like

“What should I do with my life?”

“Will there be enough money?”

“Once ______ happens, then I’ll _______.”

&

“I can’t do this anymore.”

to rob us of the joy of the season we’re in…

What if we believed what the Lord spoke is true, instead of believing the doubts and lies of the world, enemy, and ourselves?

🌸

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John‬ ‭14‬:‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬).

Paul reminds us that “God will generously provide all you need.” (2 Corinthians‬ ‭9‬:‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬).

Jesus promises us that “on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart [be of good cheer], because I have overcome the world” (‭‭John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭NLT‬‬).

👑

Sisters,

we are called to finish well the race that we’re walking, so don’t give up!

Fight the good fight with the endurance of the Holy Spirit. For a “prize awaits you [all who eagerly look forward to Jesus’ appearing]—the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give you on the day of His return” (2 Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬).”

Stop choosing to fight this battle for JOY in your own strength. Pick up “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭17‬ ‭NLT‬‬) and fight the battle the way you were meant to—alongside Jesus!

✨🫶🏼This devotional from yesterday spoke to the topic of forgiveness, which is becoming a theme for us this week…

Making the connection between trust and forgiveness is deeply impactful.

Without trust, there’s a tendency to keep our sinful nature from The One who “knows us far better than we know ourselves” (Romans 8:27 MSG) — Jesus.

We think, “Maybe I can clean up my act enough for Jesus to accept me.”

This couldn’t be further from the truth…

Jesus ALREADY took the penalty for your sins!

Trust Him enough to receive this gift of eternal forgiveness.

Let the multitude of your sins unravel and let yourself be healed in the love-light of Jesus’ presence💗

It’s by faith and nearness to Him that we experience forgiveness and life everlasting. Let Him in!
