People get headaches for various reasons and although they are common they are not normal. Let us help you ditch your headaches!

↕️ If your headaches are due to your posture, come in to the office and get adjusted while working on bettering your posture at home.

💧If your headaches are due to dehydration, put electrolytes in your water. You can do a pinch of Redmonds sea salt in your water or a flavored packet like LMNT or Ultima.

🍔 If your headaches are due to your toxins or your diet, get food allergy tested to see exactly what foods your body wants to see and what it doesn’t want to see. Try filtering your air and water to eliminate as many toxins as possible.

👩‍🔬 If your headaches are due to imbalanced hormones, get them tested by looking at them in your blood and urine. This way you get a complete picture of what your hormones are doing.

🧠 If your headaches are caused by mental stress, find an outlet to release it like journaling, exercising, reading, meditation, or talking with a loved one or counselor. You can also help your body deal with the mental stress better by taking California Poppy as a supplement.

📲 If your headaches are due to screen time, try wearing blue light glasses. If you can, read a book instead of scrolling or watching tv.

Greek Quinoa Salad

Super easy detox approved meal!

Ingredients:
• Quinoa (1 cup)
• Black beans (half a can)
• English cucumber
• Tomato
• Red onion
• Kalamata olives
• Sweet red peppers
• Jalapeños

Dressing Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup olive oil
• Half a lemon
• Spoonful of minced garlic
• Salt to taste
• Oregano
• Basil
(I never measure spices I just put some in!)

Directions:
1. Cook quinoa according to package directions
2. Heat black beans up on the stove
3. While quinoa is cooking start cutting up veggies
4. Make dressing by combining all ingredients
5. Combine the quinoa, black beans, veggies, and dressing into individual bowls and enjoy!

*This recipe is not sugar free - trade out the quinoa and black beans for a different base like lettuce!*
+you can also add feta or goat cheese if it fits in your diet plan+

Today kicks off of the first day of our no sugar challenge! 🤩 One of Dr. Danae’s go to no sugar meals is Broccoli Chicken Casserole!

Ingredients:

▢ 4 cups cooked and cubed chicken
▢ 2 tbsp avocado oil
▢ 2 heads broccoli, florets removed
▢ 10 cremini mushrooms, sliced
▢ 1/2 small onion, diced
▢ 1 cup chicken broth
▢ 1 jar of Primal Kitchen Alfredo
▢ salt and pepper, to taste
▢ rosemary, for garnish

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 400 F
2. Heat the avocado oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms and diced onion and stir for 3 minutes. Add the broccoli florets (make sure they’re in bite-sized pieces and not too large) and stir for another 3 minutes or until the broccoli is crisp-tender and bright green.
3. Place the shredded chicken in a 9x13-inch casserole dish, covering the bottom. Add the sautĂŠed mushrooms, onions, and broccoli in a flat layer on top.
4. Stir the chicken broth into the Alfredo sauce, then pour on top of the broccoli in the casserole dish. Use a spatula if needed to make sure everything is well coated.
5. Cook the casserole for 20-25 minutes. The sauce should be bubbling and slightly reduced and thickened. Garnish with fresh rosemary if desired and serve immediately.
