I was terrified to ask for a salary increase.
I felt selfish.
I felt like I was bothering my supervisors.
I felt like I should just be grateful.

Meanwhile, the water bill was going up. Parking. Childcare. Rent. Everything was increasing except my income.

Then I read James 4:2.
You have not because you ask not.

So I asked.
And God gave me enough, more than enough...
