The VU MT program received this award at this year in recognition of our five years of service to the music therapy profession. Thanks for a wonderful time at the 2024 GLR Music Therapy Conference last weekend!

VU music therapy student, Virginia Leahy, presented on music therapy and mental health, Alondra G. Quiroz and Adrian Williams attended their first ever GLR Music Therapy Conference, and Julia Pastore, who graduated from VU in December, attended her first conference as an MT-BC and new professional.

Congratulations to all of these VU music therapy students!

UPDATE for Valpo’s sensory-friendly concert on February 17 👇

The sensory-friendly concert is now attached to the 2 p.m. Valparaiso University Small High School Band Festival rather than the Community Band Festival at 4 p.m. At the concert, Valpo music therapy students will lead activities with members of the neurodiverse, autistic, and disabled communities in NWI.

⏰ 2 p.m. | Valparaiso University Small High School Band Festival (sensory-friendly)
⏰ 4 p.m. | The 29th annual Community Band Festival
⏰ 7:30 p.m. | The Concerto Competition Winners Concert
