Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Earlier this week, we gathered for Veterans Breakfast at Pines Village to recognize and thank the veterans in our community. Attendees enjoyed breakfast together along with sweet treats prepared in honor of Memorial Day.

We are grateful for the sacrifices made by so many, and we hold close the memory of those who never made it home. ❤️

What a lovely afternoon at our Ladies Tea on Friday in the Celebration Center. 🫖 Residents gathered to wrap up Mother’s Day week with light refreshments, delicious teas, sweet conversation, and plenty of smiles. It was a wonderful time spent together honoring the special women in our community. 💐

Whether it’s painting, music, theater, creative writing, or visiting museums, staying socially and creatively engaged can have a meaningful impact on overall health and quality of life.

At Pines Village, we see this firsthand through resident creativity, community events, and spaces like the Village Gallery, where art becomes a way to connect, express, and inspire. 💙

Good food and even better company. 🍽️ Last week, a group of residents enjoyed a lunch outing to Maple + Bacon in Valparaiso. From delicious meals to lots of laughter around the table, it was a great afternoon spent together out in the community.

These outings are always a wonderful chance to connect, try local favorites, and make new memories with friends. Thank you to Maple + Bacon for the warm hospitality and delicious food. 😊

A colorful new chapter has been added to our Little Free Library. 📚 A huge thank you to our very talented employee, Amber, for spearheading this creative project and leading residents in painting bricks to look like beloved book covers around the base of the library. ✨ From classics to favorites like The Color Purple, The World According to Garp, and Catching Fire, each brick adds personality, creativity, and heart to this special community space.

We’re so grateful to Amber and our residents for their thoughtfulness, artistic talents, and teamwork in making our Little Free Library even more welcoming and unique for everyone who visits. 💙

Have you ever wanted to be part of a theatre production? 🎭 Golden Age Players is looking for adults 55+ to join this season’s reader’s theatre performance of Into the Woods at Memorial Opera House! Whether you’ve been on stage before or are simply curious to try something new, this welcoming and low-pressure program is a wonderful way to connect, be creative, and have fun.

No memorization required. Scripts stay in hand, and all experience levels are welcome, including backstage helpers!
