I didn’t start getting massage because it sounded luxurious. I started getting massage because I couldn’t relax. Because stillness made my anxiety louder. Because being alone with my body felt unbearable and unsafe. As someone who has been impacted by trauma, my nervous system (I didn’t have the language for that then) was always braced. Always on alert. I lived in a constant state of holding, scanning, preparing.

Massage became one of the first places where I could let go, feel, and relax. I felt held, supported and safe. At first, relaxing felt unfamiliar, uncomfortable, and came slowly. Over time, my body learned something new: I can be here. I can soften. I don’t have to stay on guard.

That’s why I believe so deeply in this work. Not because it fixes you, or is an instant solution, but because it offers the body a felt experience of safety, often before the mind can. From that sense of safety came lowered tension and pain levels, reduced anxiety, deep relaxation and connection with myself.

I’ve been receiving massage every 4-6 weeks for years. It’s an essential part of my physical, mental and emotional wellness care. I know firsthand the healing that happens when the body feels safe enough to let go.

If stillness feels hard and support feels unfamiliar, or you struggle with relaxing or letting go, you don’t have to figure it out alone. I can help.

If you’re seeking support with chronic stress, burnout or trauma recovery, I can help you with my yoga therapy + massage therapy combo session.

This 90 minute session supports regulation from the inside out. 20-25 minutes of yoga therapy gently prepare the nervous system through breath, awareness, and accessible movement. 60 minutes of massage therapy then reinforce that sense of safety through supportive, attuned touch. Yoga therapy helps your nervous system feel safe, and massage helps your body remember that safety.

Instead of asking the body to “let go,” this session helps it feel safe enough to soften naturally.

Yoga therapy first → massage second creates a deeper, longer-lasting effect. Yoga therapy helps the nervous system settle and orient to the present moment. The body becomes more receptive and less guarded.
Massage can work more effectively with less force.
Clients often experience deeper rest and longer-lasting relief.

This combo session can help:
🧘🏻‍♀️Calm a constantly “on” nervous system
💆🏽‍♀️ Reduce chronic muscle guarding and stress patterns
🧘🏻‍♀️ Improve sleep and emotional regulation
💆🏽‍♀️ Increase body awareness without overwhelm
🧘🏻‍♀️ Support a sense of safety, grounding, and presence

Please reach out if you have questions. I’d love to help you feel more steady, at ease, and resourced for your day.

You are always in control. Trauma-informed massage honors choice, consent, and pacing. Pressure, areas of focus, talking, and even stillness are guided by what your body is ready for that day. There is no expectation to relax, release, or feel anything in particular. The work meets you where you are.

In a world that constantly pulls you outward, massage invites you back in and is a conversation with your body. It’s a pause. A place where your system can exhale, your muscles don’t have to hold everything together, and your body can soften without needing to explain why. More grounded in your body. Mentally quieter. Emotionally lighter. Physically supported, not just “worked on”.

I’d love to hold the space for you to build a relationship with your body. 💆🏽‍♀️

This 45-minute focused session combines cupping therapy and gua sha to address specific areas of tension, restriction, or chronic holding patterns.

Rather than full-body work, this session is designed to go deep where your body needs it most—commonly the neck and shoulders, upper or lower back, hips, or an area of persistent tightness.

Cupping gently lifts and decompresses the tissue, increasing circulation and easing fascial restriction without aggressive pressure. Gua sha follows with slow, deliberate strokes to smooth the tissue, reduce inflammation, and restore ease of movement. Together, these techniques support both physical release and nervous system regulation, often leaving clients feeling lighter, more mobile, and grounded.

This session is ideal for:
• Targeted pain or tension
• Desk-related or stress-held tightness
• Athletic recovery
• Clients who want effective work in a shorter timeframe
• Maintenance between longer sessions

The shortest day and the longest night. The turning point in the year. In the darkness a light is born. The sun slowly returns. A time to reflect on what you’ve walked through and are ready to release and to offer your intentions to be swept into the cosmic current of the solstice window. Happy Winter Solstice everyone! 🕯️✨
