It’s a new week, and I’m feeling recharged from some time in nature over the weekend. I’m excited and grateful to help people feel better in their bodies, hearts and minds this week!

7 massage therapy clients
5 yoga therapy clients
1 ninety minute massage for me

Nearly 18 years in this field has taught me that not only to last, but to be able to stay present, grounded and connected during each session, I have to receive care too. Self-care isn’t optional if I want to keep showing up.

One of my favorite things people say after a session is… “I feel like a completely different person.”

That’s the result of finally feeling safe enough to let go.

Not because I fix people, but because every moment and aspect of each session is intentionally considered, from the tone of my voice, my body posture, the decor, temperature, lighting and energy in the room, my communication, presence and listening, the music, the comfort of the table, to the deep listening to your body.

All of it is intentional. For nervous system regulation, feeling safe, and being able to let go.

Healing doesn’t happen when people feel rushed, judged, ignored or unsafe.

Massage is rarely just about sore or tight muscles.

Underneath the tight shoulders, clenched jaw, and aching neck is often stress, grief, burnout, anxiety, trauma, or simply the weight of carrying too much for too long mentally.

Last week alone, I had the honor of holding space for women navigating some heavy things and helping their bodies, minds and hearts find a little relief, regulation, and rest.
