💭 “I don’t want my birth to go like last time.”

If that thought has crossed your mind — pause for a moment. You’re not dramatic. You’re not asking for too much. You’re listening to your intuition.

So many birthers carry disappointment, fear, or unanswered questions from a previous birth… or anxiety about their first because they’ve heard too many scary stories. Wanting a different experience is valid.

Here’s the truth:
✨ A different birth starts with different preparation.

You don’t need to erase what happened before. You need tools, understanding, and support that help you walk into this birth feeling informed, grounded, and confident.

That’s exactly what I focus on in my Lamaze Childbirth Workshop — realistic education, practical comfort measures, and the kind of preparation that helps you feel like an active participant in your birth, not a bystander.

If you’re pregnant and quietly hoping this time feels calmer, more supported, and more you — you’re in the right place.

📚 3 things no one tells you about labor (but every parent should know).

1️⃣ Labor is not a straight line.
Movies make it look predictable. Real labor moves in waves — pauses, progress, plateaus. Understanding this alone reduces fear and panic when things don’t look “textbook.”

2️⃣ Pain is only one part of the experience.
Support, environment, positioning, breathing, and mindset dramatically change how labor feels. When you know how to work with your body, labor becomes more manageable — even powerful.

3️⃣ Your partner matters more than you think.
Prepared partners don’t stand in the corner unsure what to do. They actively support, advocate, and help you cope — which can completely change how birth unfolds.

This is exactly the kind of preparation we go deep into inside my Lamaze Childbirth Workshop — real education, practical tools, and confidence-building support for both parents.

If you’re pregnant and don’t want to walk into birth guessing or overwhelmed, this class is for you.

🚨 Pregnant and “hoping for the best” in labor? Stop scrolling. 🚨

Hope is not a birth plan.
And Google is not childbirth education.

If you’re expecting a baby and planning to just “figure it out when the time comes,” this is your wake-up call. Birth is intense, fast-moving, and full of decisions — and confidence doesn’t magically show up on labor day.

👉 Prepared parents have better experiences. Period.

That’s exactly why I created my Lamaze Childbirth Workshop.

This is not a fluffy class. This is real, evidence-based education that prepares you and your partner to walk into labor knowing what’s happening, what your options are, and how to work with your body instead of panicking through it.

In this workshop, you’ll learn:
✔️ What actually happens in labor (and what no one explains)
✔️ How to manage pain and intensity with proven comfort techniques
✔️ How to communicate and advocate during birth
✔️ How to work as a team instead of feeling overwhelmed
✔️ How to walk into birth feeling confident — not scared

🚨 Class spots are limited, and this workshop fills quickly.

If you’re pregnant right now and thinking “I’ll look into this later” — later turns into too late faster than you think.

Here’s a comfort measure I teach in my class that instantly helps during contractions:

💛 Slow, intentional exhaling.
Most people focus on the inhale…
But it’s actually the exhale that relaxes the body, softens tension, and reduces pain.

Try this:
Breathe in gently through your nose
…and exhale longer than you inhale.

This tells your nervous system:
“You’re safe. You can soften. You can open.”

Simple.
Powerful.
Effective.

Want more tools like this — plus hands-on techniques your partner can use right away?

Did you know…
Most of the discomfort during labor comes from tension, not just contractions.
And tension is usually caused by:
• fear
• uncertainty
• feeling unsupported
• holding your breath
• fighting the intensity instead of working with it

This is why comfort measures work so well.
They don’t “take labor away”…
They help your body and brain stay calm enough to let labor work.

In my Comfort Measures in Labor Class, you’ll learn how to:
🌿 release tension in your jaw, shoulders, and pelvis
🌿 use breath to soften intensity
🌿 create rhythm and movement that reduce pain
🌿 keep your baby aligned and rotating
🌿 help your partner support you clearly and confidently

When your body feels safe, labor becomes more manageable.
Sometimes… even easier.

About Sabine Hankiewicz CD(DONA)

My name is Sabine Hankiewicz. I was born in Austria, Europe. I am a mother of two (raised three) and always loved anything that had to do with pregnancy, childbirth, postpartum and breastfeeding. After moving to North America, I decided to make my dream a reality and became a doula. I have a passion for evidence based birth and and I believe that every birthing person deserves to be treated like the queen that she is.
