Today we celebrated Mardi Gras by showing our amazing employees some extra love and appreciation! We handed out festive beads and sweet treats as a small thank you for the big hearts they bring to work every day.

We were honored today to have Missy Gipson, the Director of Young Actors Guild and her group of sixteen actors and actresses come to Legacy Heights/ Memory Lane/ The Terrace to perform “Goldilocks - The REAL Story”. This awesome group of young peoples ages ranged from eight to fourteen. Our residents were very impressed with their talent. They definitely had to remember some very long lines! Yesterday we celebrated Valentine’s Day with a great party. We had four couples running for King and Queen.
They were Vernon London & Darlene Johnson, Leonard & Sue Franklin, Daryl & Connie Darr, and Joseph Fenwick & Lois Brouwer. Our residents and staff voted and Joseph & Lois are our Valentine’s Day Party 2026 King and Queen! Congratulations! Each couple told about when they first met. We served heart shaped cookies, brownie bites, Dove candy, assorted nuts and red punch. We played some old Elvis love songs while several couples danced. “Thank you” to our wonderful volunteers who assisted! ♥️

Our dietary staff did an exemplary job preparing our resident’s Valentine’s Day lunch. Our management team served the meal. Residents were first served a fresh garden salad with their favorite homemade dressing, mock filet Mignon, fried shrimp, baked potatoes, seasoned green beans, and yeast roll. For dessert they had a variety of cheesecake bites. Everyone looked very festive dressed in their red attire. “Thank you” to everyone who helped make this day special! Happy Valentine’s Day!

Today we had the joy of honoring our incredible employees for Valentine’s Day! Our management team handed out personally signed cards along with fun pink glasses, red heart pens, and sweet treats to show just how much they mean to us.

We truly have the BEST team, and we are so grateful for the care, compassion, and heart they bring every single day. ❤️

We had a wonderful evening at February Business After Hours held on Tuesday, February 10th at Legacy Heights / Memory Lane! Proudly sponsored by the Van Buren Chamber and co-hosted by Legacy Heights/Memory Lane and My HR Pros, the event was filled with light bites, engaging conversation, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

A few weeks ago a resident suggested we have a jigsaw puzzle contest. She got all the particulars worked out, and we added it to the Activity Calendar for this afternoon. There were six couples playing. Harlene and Elsa, Sue and Paula, Linda and Jane, Caryleen and Claudette, Kathy and Ludella, and Margaret and Pat. They worked diligently from 1:00 p.m. to almost 4:30 p.m.. Harlene and Elsa were the first to finish with Sue and Paula finishing second. Kathy Wheeler had prizes of new puzzles and Bundt cakes for first and second place winners. Good times!
