A few hints to help prevent the spread of this virus:

*Wash your hands constantly throughout the day.
*Do not touch your face above your collar line.
*Keep a 3–6 foot radius from other people.
*If someone is coughing, keep at least a 10 foot radius from them.
*Since this is a respiratory virus it has to get in your lungs. Therefore, drink liquids every 15 minutes so anything that could have been ingested in your mouth can be swallowed and destroyed by the acids in the stomach. Water is sufficient and stay away from icy drinks.
*Heat kills the virus so hot liquids are preferable. Keep a mug of hot coffee and take a drink of it every 15 minutes.
*Be mindful of common objects that are touched by everyone such as: door handles, handling money, gas pump handles, handshaking, sinks, toilets, carts at a grocery store, or any other objects that the public touches constantly. The virus cannot go through your skin. It is when you touch your face after you have touched one of these objects that it is transmitted.
*Limit your exposure to the public to essential things.
*Just use common sense. We all hope and pray this will be over soon.

Good morning, we are hoping that all is well for you and your families during these difficult times. We plan to stay open and see patients just as normal unless we are directed to do otherwise. That being said, if you’re coming to our office and you are feeling sick or think that you may be having symptoms of a cold or the flu, we have been directed that certain protocols be adhered to. When you come in you will see. This will help protect the spread of any pathogen to others that may be in the office and to our staff. We ask that you respect these new guidelines and remember they have been handed down to us.

We have never been faced with such a dilemma in our country. But I am confident in the American spirit, dedication and determination that has brought us through many tragedies before. We hope and pray that this unifies our country and our community. Our staff will continue to work and take care of our patients, both new and old. Our staff is disinfecting constantly all throughout the day in an effort to keep our office as sterile as possible. You will find that if you go to most any hospital or clinic that they are requiring that only essential patients be allowed in the building. Hospitals and clinics have been instructed to have other family members remain in the car as to limit the exposure to other patients and the staff. We ask that you respect these new guidelines. These guidelines imposed on hospitals and medical practices are there to help control the spread of disease.

The flu has also been hitting clinics pretty hard this year so these precautions will help with the spread of it, as well. As the temperatures rise and it gets warm outside hopefully, the incidence of these viruses will begin to taper. Our staff prays that you and your family will be healthy and free from disease during these difficult times.
