Originally from Paulding, Ohio, Margaret brings a wealth of experience and a beautiful spirit to everyone she meets. A proud architectural engineer, she earned her degree from the University of Cincinnati and has a lifelong passion for design and detail.

Margaret shared that one of the things she loves most about Fountain Park Home Care is their dedication to her physical health and helping her stay organized in her daily routine. 💪📅

Today, we’re thrilled to recognize one of our incredible physical therapists, Christina “Tina” Skelton!

Tina has been a physical therapist for an impressive 34 years, and this September marks 21 years of dedicated service with Fountain Park Home Care/Vancrest. Her passion for helping others regain strength, mobility, and independence has made a lasting difference in the lives of countless patients and their families.

Tina shares:

“I wanted to become a physical therapist to help people regain their strength, mobility, and independence—to truly make a difference in the lives of my patients and their families.”

Outside of work, Tina enjoys spending quality time with her family. She and her husband have five children—two sons and three daughters, ranging in age from 13 to 28. She also loves traveling and photography, two passions that go hand in hand!

Movement is medicine, even gentle movement counts!
Encourage your loved one to do light exercises like ankle pumps, shoulder rolls, or standing marches (with supervision). These small movements help maintain strength, improve circulation, and reduce the risk of falls.

Speech-language pathologists help with swallowing, memory, and cognition, too!
If your loved one struggles with remembering tasks, finding words, or safely swallowing meals—ask about speech therapy through home health services.

🦶 Therapy Thursday Tip #3: Prevent Falls with the “3-Point Check”

Before standing up, do this:
1. Feet flat on the floor
2. Hands on the armrests
3. Take a deep breath, then stand slowly
