🌟 Life at Vancrest
Meet Lola, one of our assisted living residents at Vancrest of Van Wert.
Lola has been part of assisted living at Vancrest for over two years, but her connection started even earlier. She first came for rehabilitation and had such a positive experience that when it came time to make a decision about what was next, she already knew where she wanted to be.
That experience gave her confidence, and it gave her family peace of mind. They know she is in a place where she is cared for, supported, and surrounded by people who are always there when she needs them.
Lola believes her time in rehab helped her heal quicker, and what began as a short stay turned into something much more meaningful.
She loves meeting new people and taking part in the many activities throughout the day. One of the most special parts of her journey is a friendship that started during rehab. She met one of her best friends during that time, and now they share lunch together every day.
For Lola, moving to Vancrest has created a better, fuller life. She has built strong relationships with both residents and staff, and those connections mean everything to her.
She speaks so highly of the team and the care she receives. The staff have become a special part of her daily life through their kindness, consistency, and willingness to always lend a helping hand. She especially enjoys her time with Kayla on night shift, often making coffee and taking a few moments to sit and chat when there is time.
Lola also brings that same care back to others. She loves to cook and enjoys making favorite meals for staff, something that has become her own way of giving back to the people around her.
She appreciates the simplicity of life here, where things are taken care of and she can focus on enjoying her day, her friendships, and the routines she has come to love.
What started as a stay for therapy has become something much more. For Lola, Vancrest is not just where she lives. It is home 💚
