A message to my Eastern NC family
You have touched my heart and will always have a place there ❤️
The work started two and a half years ago-
After stepping out of the high performance world, I almost threw away my riding gear. I was very lost, and thought I would never go back to horses.
But, after some time off, the fire inside me rekindled and I typed up a resume, started cold calling barns, hoping that I could meet the people and see what the horse community was like in Eastern NC. The first year, I was so nervous anytime I met a new client. My knees would be shaking and I would repeat to myself “just focus on the horse” “just focus on the horse” and the world disappeared until it was just me and the horse.
People say “we are so happy to have you here.” Which warms my heart, and I want to express how much I needed this journey and how grateful I am for you and your horses, I just didn’t know it at the beginning.
To my clients whom I now call friends, you have a beautiful, genuine love for the animals that is truly a gift to be around. You rekindled my love for the animals in its purest form. You inspired me to love the life, not just do it for work. You opened up about your worries, your failures, your accomplishments, your strengths and weaknesses. You welcomed me with open arms, every individual greeting me with a smile and a willingness to learn and explore together. You gave me confidence, humility, strength and a belief in myself that I will carry with me forward. Thank you for being who you are ❤️
There’s always a place in my heart for you and the horses. You’ve impacted me more than I could ever imagine. Thank you.
Please share forward so everyone hears this message, this is to every individual Ive encountered in NC 🫶
