Community Health Workers (CHWs) play a vital role in promoting mental health by providing support and resources in homes, schools, libraries, and neighborhoods. CHWs work to connect people to mental health services, especially in communities where access is low. Visit OurHealthyKyHome.ky.gov to learn more. Join the campaign.

Craving more water than usual or having a dry mouth often can be a signal that your blood sugar is running high. This is your body’s way of trying to flush out the extra sugar. If this sounds familiar, consider getting a quick blood sugar test.

Tune in live at 1:30 pm as Lewis County is officially recognized as a Recovery Ready Community! We’re one of 35 counties to receive this special certification.

We extend our gratitude to Governor Andy Beshear, as well as Dallas Hurley and Sue Fox from Volunteers of America for their invaluable support throughout this process. A special thank you goes to Tammy Brown and Maudrie Hatcher of Fresh Start Health for spearheading this initiative. We are also grateful to all the individuals and organizations whose dedication made this achievement possible, especially our very own, Alex Halsey and Anita Bertram.
