Yesterday ended up being a damn good day—better than I figured it would be.
Had this ride on the books for a while, but watching the weather roll in had me second-guessing it. Not quite the same excitement as when the plan was first set. But if you know me, you know how that goes—if I say I’m riding, I’m riding. Rain or not.
We rolled out in a little drizzle, nothing major. By the time our two groups linked up, it was already warming up and layers started coming off. By the second stop, I was down to my cut with a short sleeve over a long sleeve—perfect riding weather. Of course, the ride back reminded me who’s in charge… temps dropped off and I had to plug the heated jacket back in.
Still, no complaints. Put another 150 miles in the saddle and added it to this year’s count. Won’t know the final number until October 2026 when I check in for Harley’s Let’s Ride 2026—but the goal’s simple: beat last year’s 5,000 miles.
