Tomorrow is Thanksgiving!
For some it will be a wonderful, heartwarming day. For some, a picture of not-so-great Thanksgivings past.
Our famous "Fight, Flight, or Freeze" senses are just under the surface, waiting to EXPLODE! 💥
Jesus has a plan for that!
Along with Fight, Flight, or Freeze...He gives us FREEDOM!
Cast all your anxiety on Him. Seek Him first. Accept His Perfect Peace that only He can provide.
And YOU GOT THIS.
Phillipians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Have you ever said to yourself that you need a Do-Over? Maybe you've thought, "If I could just be someone DIFFERENT!"
"...or a NEW me!" or even :...a BETTER VERSION OF MYSELF?!"

The GOOD NEWS is that Jesus says that if you follow Him...you are!! A whole, new creation!

Thank God we get to become a new creature!

It sounds pretty hard to do the "DEVOTE yourselves to prayer" thing; don't you think?

I wonder why we tend to overthink and over-complicate things? Or is that just me?! 👩‍🦰👈

Dictionary.com defines being devoted "as to appropriate by or as if by a vow; set apart or dedicate by a solemn or formal act; consecrate:
She devoted her life to God."

If we break this down a bit, to make it do-able for us in this time,
we can devote ourselves to prayer by this:

🙏 Set apart a specific time of day to pray and be grateful.

🙏 Say a prayer as we start the day, stating 3 things that we're thankful for. (Can't come up with 3? Start with One.) ❤

🙏 Offer up a prayer before bed, saying one thing that you did for someone else today, and thank God for that opportunity you were given to do that. (Can't find One? YES YOU CAN!). ...flashing a smile counts!!! 😁

Okay, now that we have this covered, remember:

It's your heart that counts, not the length of time or how long your prayers are. ❤🙏❤

Get out of bed today?
Stop pulling your hair out?

BE SEEN.

I SEE YOU.

Through the messy hair and runny nose and your fourth ugly cry while you hide yourself in the closet amongst the shoes and clothes that fell off the hangar...and the pain.

I see you. I hear you.
I have been you.

There is hope, love. I found it.
It's real and it's for YOU.

I cannot make it all go away
(I don't have that kind of power!) but Jesus does.
He loves you. He promises that all things work to the good for those that love the Lord, for those called according to His purpose.

Healing. Hope. His peace.

I can offer you community, caring, prayer, help with healing...
and a hand up
while you come back...to you.

Can you keep a secret? 🤭

Those words really get curiosity going, don't they!

Have you said them outloud to someone?

Has someone said them outloud TO YOU?

If you're over three, and I bet you are, you've both said them and heard them!

Can't you just picture a sweet curly haired little girl or boy holding their hand by their mouth while whispering those words into your ear!? 🤗 Too cute!

The thing is, when we get older, we change up our methods but we stiiiil do the same thing! Can you keep a secret!? So-and-so just ________! (fill in the blank).

For those who have a

it causes great harm, isolation, depression, anxiety, and confirmation that they aren't accepted.
