The bus was rolling this last weekend! Saturday we visited a Book Fair at the Artillery Barracks. On Sunday we brought our dinner to the Johnny Limbo and the Lugnuts concert at the Columbia Tech Amphitheater.

Following a fantastic presentation on Tuesday about the eruption of Mount Saint Helens, we loaded up the bus on Thursday and took residents to Seaquest State Park to have a picnic lunch and then they went to the Mount Saint Helens Interpretive Center.

What a blast! Literally, it was! Today Professor Dittmer delivered a very informative presentation about the eruption of Mt. St. Helens 45 years ago. We also learned about the recovery of vegetation, wildlife and fish decades later. Thursday we are headed out to the interpretive center east of Castle Rock.

We gave our guys a Father's Day they won't soon forget! Joined by family members, everyone enjoyed a delicious barbecue buffet and raised their beers to the band, Bad Motor Scooter who played classic rock songs familiar across the generations. Family members were stunned that a senior community could be this much fun!
