DAD RECEIVED HIS NEW KIDNEY!!!😭😭😭

He got the call Thursday and had his transplant surgery this afternoon. He is awake but in his words “feels like sh*t”. He then proceeded to crack a few jokes and try to lighten the mood…typical Eli. 🤣

Now the recovery process begins. We are far from the end of this journey, but we have amazing friends and family who have supported Dad since day 1. 🥰🥰

Thank you all so so much for sharing my posts, the encouraging words, and most importantly for being there for my family during this time.

We are so blessed to have you all ❤️

Congratulations Dad!!! Here’s to many more carshow with you! I can’t wait 🍻🥂🎉

Dads first day out of the hospital after his initial diagnosis back in 2020.

So many feelings - Happy to be alive, happy to be out, yet the reality of what’s to come soon settled in.

Dialysis 3 times a week, 2 of those 3 days land on the days he works the 12 hour night shift. He goes to work, then drives straight to dialysis for 4+ hours. He’s so tired, yet still makes the time to take care of his family.

We will find your donor dad. I promise. ❤️
