Cooking with Love for Holidays
Holidays are quickly approaching, and people are rushing around to buy everything they need to prepare for these special moments with family, friends, and other people we care about in our lives.
The kitchen will be busy with many dishes and recipe notes and books here and there; the level will be high, and sometimes we might find missing items and someone needs to rush to the store to get them. Fights could happen, people may feel anxious that food will not be ready before their guests arrive, and more.
No matter what happens, remember that your hands have energy, and your energy can transmit into the food and then to the people who are eating it. In our countries, mostly the mothers cook, and when a mother cooks with love for her family, the food becomes tastier, and the family bonds on a deeper level because the food is cooked with love.
So, as you know this information, put beautiful intentions before you cook, and even if something happens during cooking, take a deep breath and remind yourself that your energy goes into the food.
Tips for happy cooking during the holidays:
• Check the list of ingredients ahead of time to make sure everything you need is there.
• Make a plan for the cooking time for each item and who can help you finish early.
• Check with your store to see if online ordering and delivery are available in order to reduce the number of flights on who should go get the items needed.
• Think of positive things and memories before you cook. Remember to think of love, as it has the highest energy.
• Cook cold items or those that can stay in the fridge a day earlier to save you time and energy.
• Play music you love and choose music to boost your energy.
• If something goes wrong, just remind yourself that your energy is going into the food, take a deep breath, and exhale slowly to release any negative energy.
And finally, these days come once a year, so try to be happy and think happy as much as you can. Remind yourself that these are short happy moments; why waste them in anger and stress?
