Residents came together to celebrate Chinese New Year — the Year of the Horse and Mardi Gras all in one festive afternoon.

The other day we celebrated President Lincoln’s birthday with an incredible and truly fascinating presentation. 🇺🇸

Our resident speaker Skip, shared the remarkable story of his great-grandfather, who personally knew Abraham Lincoln. He brought along handwritten letters from President Lincoln, an original Civil War newspaper printed on wallpaper, and even a coin that served as the prototype for the Lincoln penny.

Hearing these stories and seeing history up close made the past feel so real and meaningful. Thank you for sharing such an unforgettable piece of history with us! ❤️
