Here are a few tips to help you and your family stay safe this summer:
• Never dive into shallow or unknown water. Head and spine injuries are serious and can be life-altering.
• Use nonslip mats or surfaces around pools to help prevent slips and falls.
• Wear proper water shoes when walking on docks, decks, or rocky areas to protect your feet and improve stability.
• Supervise kids closely and make sure they are dressed in brightly colored swimwear that can be seen through water easily.
• Warm up and stretch before participating in water sports like wakeboarding, paddleboarding, or waterskiing.
• Know your limits. Fatigue can lead to accidents—take breaks and hydrate regularly!
