We treat most general counseling issues and we have counselors that specialize in A.D.D., Co-Dependency, Anger Management, Domestic Violence, Divorce, Depression, Anxiety, Social Anxiety, Life Transitions and Trauma. We are committed to providing exceptional, consumer-focused service. We provide service based on a philosophy of working with people from an individualized, needs-driven, and strength based focus. We offer services to all people regardless of religious preference, race, s*x, income, s*xual orientation, or education.

A Better Way is happy to announce that we have EIGHT new student interns joining the team! If you are in service with Molina or Cigna or want services for a lower cash rate please consider our agency for your mental health needs.

Our students have a wide array of expertise ranging from working with young kids with learning disabilities to working with those who have gone through trauma and abuse.

A Better Way Counselling is happy to welcome Conner Trewet and Piper Brown as our newest student counsellors!

They are currently looking to take on clients between the ages 6 and up, who are dealing with life transitions, self-discovery, depression, ADHD problems, grief/loss issues, trauma, and those coping with stress or anxiety.

Conner has experience working with people in high stress situations and is looking to help young adults find their path in life and express themselves through positive and truthful exploration. He used to work with kids at Glenwood heights primary school as their Social Emotional Learning Program Director with a deep understanding of the complex behavioral and social states of young children to fostered positive change through meaningful connections.

Piper is a highly empathetic counsellor working with individuals through personal and spiritual development. She has a background in theatre, hypnotherapy, and yoga and has skills working with women’s issues, LGBQ+ individuals, those dealing with chronic illness and those who are having conflicts on the spiritual or faith-based level.

We’re excited to announce our Parenting Teens group, designed to support parents and caregivers navigating the challenges of raising adolescents. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Led by Melissa Cantwell, LMHCA with A Better Way Counseling Service, this course will help parents deepen their understanding of teen behavior and foster healthier relationships. Over four engaging modules, we’ll cover:
