You can develop poor alignment through your habits. The simple things can lead to big problems later in life. That's why it's important to pay attention to the way you perform activities of daily living.

A habit of leaning the head and neck forward could turn into forward head posture at some point. This could then lead to pain problems, headaches, and at worst, surgery. Pay attention to what your body is doing while you're going through your day-to-day activities.

Not normal to spend your day with a flexed head.

Neck problems are becoming increasingly more common. With text/tech-neck or the overuse of smart devices in poor postural alignment, it's not surprising we're having these issues.

Our neck plays a key role in our body alignment and the more we hang it forward the more weight we're placing on our spine. After time spent in this position our muscles adapt. This pose becomes easier for us to hold, but impacts our spine's alignment.

Break up time spent in poor alignment by changing your position. Pay attention to when you're hunching forward. You don't need to sit perfectly upright all the time, try to take a few minutes every hour in good posture as this will help offset the former condition.

Imagine your heels are ships rocking in the ocean. We often overlook our heels when we discuss body alignment, but rest assured they play a crucial part in the mix.

You first need to assess your heels and pay attention to how you carry your body; the way you turn your feet or how they are turned matter.

Pay attention to how you stand, walk, and run. This is the first piece of correcting any problems. You must become aware of your body's alignment in this area and make the necessary changes.
